I Want to Drive test success!

 The Bothers Trim, from Bournemouth, both passed their driving tests at Bournemouth test centre, the day after each other.  Another couple of great drives from some fab pupils!  Great work guys.

Did you know .........

Did you know after every test pass the registration number of the vehicle presented for test is checked for insurance and MOT. If either are invalid the the test pass result is revoked and no licence will be issued. 

So if you take your own vehicle to test it is worth thinking about, particularly if your insurance small print says you are not covered for tests.

Well done to Tammi from Ferndown for passing her practical driving test at Bournemouth recently.  Great drive.

I Want to Drive pushes on ......

So I Want to Drive is doing really well.  The driving school is based in Poole and offers driving lessons throughout Poole and Bournemouth.

End of last year we bought the new(ish) Corsa and everyone loves the car, the controls, the colour and the general appearance.  It is a diesel car giving quite good fuel economy, but this could be better, and I am speaking with Vauxhall about it.  The heated steering wheel and heated seats are great.

The drivers seat also has a height adjustment which is great for shorted pupils, and so no need now for the "booster seat!".

Already is has a great record for driving tests at Bournemouth test centre, so maybe the examiners like it too.

I had one issue, and that was the fact that this model was not available with steel wheels, so alloy wheels it was.  Now alloys look great, but they are prone to damage and are quite expensive to sort out after rubbing along a kerb.  So I invested in a set of Ally Gators.  theses are hard plastic rims that surround the vulnerable parts of the wheel, and they are available in a variety of colours.  I chose blue!

I Want to Tow, LIVE!!!

I Want to Tow the first stop for trailer training in Poole and Bournemouth, (as well as most of Dorset!) is now ready to roll!

With a great Mitsubishi Shogun 3.2 D-iD and a nice Indespension Horse Box, you will have some of the finest equipemnt to learn with.

We have several areas that we can practice the reversing and couple and un-couple routines, and helpful hints will be given to you on the course so that the process of reversing is made as simple as it can be!

The new rules for towing are quite complicated, but we have a nice form that is quick and simple to fill in, but you must have the relevent numbers and weights of the tow vehicle and the trailer.  CLICK HERE to see the rules, but below is the simplified form.

Blue Ridge Runners Show

Not only do I love teaching safer driving in the Corsa, but I also love my cars, and so this last weekend we travelled to the depths of Somerset to attend the Blue Ridge Runners show.  It was great and the cruise on Saturday was amazing.  Shame the weather closed in on Sunday .... but that is England, if you dont like the weather wait a minute!

Nysa Passes test in Bournemouth

Nysa from Poole passed her practical driving test today at Bournemouth Test Centre.  With just 5 driver faults she had a really great drive.  Very well done Nysa and drive safe.
