Did you know .........

Did you know after every test pass the registration number of the vehicle presented for test is checked for insurance and MOT. If either are invalid the the test pass result is revoked and no licence will be issued.

So if you take your own vehicle to test it is worth thinking about, particularly if your insurance small print says you are not covered for tests.

Another good reason to use a great driving instructor or towing trainer!!!  Call us now on 07887 744 163.

Nice driving test pass at Bournemouth Test Centre

Well done to Tammi from Ferndown for passing her practical driving test at Bournemouth recently.  Great drive.

Now you can get your Micra all up and ready for the road.  Just think of the freedom you will have with your full licence.

I Want to Drive really enjoyed your lessons.  Well done.

I Want to Tow pulls along!

You know you can tow, but are you towing legally?

Along side I Want to Drive, is I Want to Tow, a now established towing training company offering people the chance to improve their towing existing skills. or indeed train for the B+E trailer test enabling them to tow, legally more than 750kg.

We have a great unit, a Mitsubishi Shogun 3.2 with a horse box trailer.  It is a nice place to work.

I work with mainly horse riders, the equine market place, and we spend sometime on how to look after your horses when in transit.  But we also look after other trailers, caravan and boats.

WE can also help you increase your towing skills using your own trailer if you wish, special help with the maneuvering and reversing of the trailer. Many people have a bit of a block when it comes to reversing! We have ways of making it easy for you!!

And to end this short note today here is a picture of a very happy Bruce from Weymouth who recently passed his Trailer Test at Poole with I Want to Tow .........

For more information about a trailer towing course in Dorset, we are based in Poole and cover the local areas, visit the website, www.iwanttotow.net or call or text Chris on 07887 744 163.

Drive safe.

I Want to Drive pushes on ......

So I Want to Drive is doing really well.  The driving school is based in Poole and offers driving lessons throughout Poole and Bournemouth.

End of last year we bought the new(ish) Corsa and everyone loves the car, the controls, the colour and the general appearance.  It is a diesel car giving quite good fuel economy, but this could be better, and I am speaking with Vauxhall about it.  The heated steering wheel and heated seats are great.

The drivers seat also has a height adjustment which is great for shorted pupils, and so no need now for the "booster seat!".

Already is has a great record for driving tests at Bournemouth test centre, so maybe the examiners like it too.

I had one issue, and that was the fact that this model was not available with steel wheels, so alloy wheels it was.  Now alloys look great, but they are prone to damage and are quite expensive to sort out after rubbing along a kerb.  So I invested in a set of Ally Gators.  theses are hard plastic rims that surround the vulnerable parts of the wheel, and they are available in a variety of colours.  I chose blue!
